Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

1. About Us

DIY Machining is operated by a private individual based in Italy. By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

Contact: diymachining@gmail.comdiymachining.it

2. Products

We sell both physical products (handmade machined parts, tools, and hardware) and digital products (files, plans, and designs). All physical items are made to order by a single individual and may exhibit minor variations inherent to handmade production — this is not considered a defect.

Product descriptions and images are provided in good faith and are as accurate as reasonably possible. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

3. Orders & Contract

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, for example if a product is unavailable or if an error has occurred in pricing.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Euros (€). As a private seller not registered for VAT, prices shown are final — no VAT is applied or included. Prices do not include shipping costs, which are calculated at checkout.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept payments via the methods shown at checkout (e.g. credit/debit card, PayPal). All transactions are processed securely by our payment provider.

We reserve the right to modify prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the one shown at the time you complete your purchase.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Please refer to our Shipping & Returns page for full details on delivery times, shipping costs, and our returns process.

6. Consumer Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving physical goods, without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and D.Lgs. 206/2005 (Italian Consumer Code).

This right does not apply to:

  • Digital content once the download has been accessed (Art. 59(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU)
  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised
  • Goods that have been used or are not in their original condition

To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at diymachining@gmail.com before the 14-day period expires.

7. Digital Products — Licence

Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the digital product for your own personal or non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or share the files with third parties
  • Use the files for commercial production without prior written agreement
  • Claim authorship or remove any attribution from the files

All intellectual property rights in our digital products remain with DIY Machining.

8. Liability

Our products are intended for use by individuals with appropriate skills and experience. You are responsible for ensuring any product you purchase is suitable for your intended use. We accept no liability for:

  • Injury, damage, or loss resulting from improper use of our products
  • Errors or omissions in digital files used at your own risk
  • Delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our control (force majeure)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under Italian or EU law.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law. For EU consumers, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply and are not affected by this clause.

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to reach an amicable resolution. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
